… that a municipal law in the city of Rio de Janeiro requires condos to provide plastic bags for picking up pet waste? Besides setting that duty, Law no. 4327 of 27 April 2006 also sets a fine for condos that do not provide them.
The Pet Clean glove is that plastic bag with a hand inside: it picks up, turns inside out over the contents, and becomes the disposal bag.
Law no. 4327 of 27 April 2006- The duty sits with the condo, not the resident: the building manager or the management company answers for it.
- The bags have to be available to people out walking — it is not enough to post that picking up is each person’s job.
- The law applies in the city of Rio de Janeiro and covers both public sidewalks and the condo’s own grounds.
The fine falls on the condo, not on the resident who went out to walk the dog.

The printed panel carries the “PEGUE AQUI”, the four use steps, and the Condomínio Legal seal, which shows passersby that the building is in compliance.
